Fall Cookout @ the Hawk's
On Sunday October 28 @ 5pm the senior high students and their parents are invited for a cookout at the Hawk's. Bring
your own chairs, and a side dish to share.
Directions: 1556 Deep Creek Lane. Directions. Go across the river on Hwy.
177 heading south toward
I-70. At Deep Creek Road (Hwy 911 - at large Bayer
Construction sign) take a left. Go approximately 3 miles
on Deep Creek Rd
until you reach Deep Creek Lane turn right on to Deep Creek Lane. Deep Creek
Lane is a gravel
road, we are the second house on the right hand side of the
road.

Discussion Topics
On October 7th during our youth group regular meeting I asked the kids to write out discussion topics that they would
like us to talk about and teach on. I told them it could be anything that was relevant to their lives no matter how controversial.
We had a really great response from youth and it is my desire to tackles as many of these issues for the rest of the school
year.
I still recommend that the youth continue to read Velvet Elvis on their own. It is a great book and they will benefit
from reading it, even as just a devotional time once a week. I think it is more important to deal with things that are questions
and struggles that these young people deal with on a daily basis than read a popular book.
